Axis Bank has announced changes to the benefits of the Axis Bank MYZONE Credit Card. The revision will come into effect from 1 April 2026 and will impact one of the card’s popular milestone benefits.
The MYZONE Credit Card has been a popular entry-level card, mainly because it is often offered as a lifetime free credit card and provides several lifestyle benefits. These include entertainment offers, dining discounts, and limited lounge access, making it a suitable card for people who are new to credit cards.
However, one of its key benefits related to entertainment subscriptions is now being removed.
Previously, cardholders could receive a renewal subscription of SonyLIV by achieving ₹1.5 lakh in annual spends during the card anniversary year.
According to the revised terms, this SonyLIV renewal benefit will be discontinued from 1 April 2026.
The subscription earlier served as a milestone reward for users who spent ₹1.5 lakh in a year using their card.
After the revision, cardholders who achieve ₹1.5 lakh in annual spends during their card anniversary year will receive:
1,000 EDGE Reward Points
These points belong to the reward system of Axis Bank and can be redeemed through the bank’s rewards portal.
The following transactions will not be counted toward the ₹1.5 lakh milestone:
Earlier, the milestone reward offered a SonyLIV subscription valued at around ₹1,499.
With the new structure, the card now offers 1,000 EDGE Reward Points, which are worth roughly ₹200 if redeemed at around ₹0.20 per point.
This means the overall value of the milestone benefit has reduced significantly.
The Axis Bank MYZONE Credit Card will continue to remain a lifetime free credit card, but the removal of the SonyLIV renewal subscription makes the milestone benefit less rewarding.
While users can still earn 1,000 EDGE Reward Points after spending ₹1.5 lakh in a year, the value of this reward is much lower compared to the earlier entertainment subscription benefit.
For cardholders who mainly used the card to unlock the SonyLIV renewal benefit, this update significantly reduces the card’s overall value proposition.
