Punjab National Bank has introduced a new redemption option for its credit card customers. PNB credit cardholders can now convert their reward points into Air India Maharaja Club points, offering a more flexible and travel focused way to use accumulated rewards.
This new partnership allows everyday card spending to be transformed into flight rewards, enabling redemptions for award tickets, upgrades, and other benefits available under the Air India Maharaja Club programme.
The addition of Air India Maharaja Club as a transfer partner enhances the overall value of PNB’s rewards ecosystem. Instead of redeeming points only for vouchers or merchandise, eligible cardholders can now use their points for air travel related benefits.
At the same time, the partnership further strengthens the Maharaja Club loyalty programme, which has been expanding its reach beyond just flight based rewards.
Currently, the reward point to Maharaja Club point conversion facility is available on select PNB credit cards only.
| Credit Card | PNB Reward Points to Maharaja Points |
|---|---|
|
RuPay Platinum Credit Card |
6 to 1 |
|
Visa Platinum Credit Card |
6 to 1 |
This means that six PNB Reward Points are required to earn one Air India Maharaja Club point.
PNB cardholders can convert their points through the official PNB Rewardz portal by following these steps.
• Log in to the PNB Rewardz portal using registered credentials
• Select the Air Miles redemption option
• Enter your Air India Maharaja Club membership ID
• Choose the number of PNB Reward Points to convert
• Confirm the transaction
Once the request is submitted, the converted Maharaja Club points will be credited to the linked account within seven working days.
This conversion feature is particularly useful for:
• Frequent flyers who prefer airline loyalty points
• Cardholders planning Air India award flights or upgrades
• Users who find better value in travel redemptions than vouchers
For travellers, airline points often provide higher redemption value compared to catalogue based rewards.
The ability to convert PNB Reward Points into Air India Maharaja Club points is a positive step for PNB credit cardholders. Although the facility is currently limited to two credit cards, it significantly improves reward flexibility for eligible users.
With the Maharaja Club programme continuing to expand, there is potential for more PNB cards and additional transfer options to be introduced in the future. For now, this partnership adds meaningful value for PNB customers who travel frequently and prefer airline based rewards.
